HOLDING OF AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
AT THE NATIONAL LIBRARY

On August 12, 2026, at 13:00, an international conference entitled “Emomali Rahmon: A Great Statesman, Chronicler of Truth and Nation-Building Identity”, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, was held at the State Institution “National Library” of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. The event was attended by representatives of government authorities, scientific and educational institutions, scholars and researchers, Tajiks living abroad, and members of the diplomatic corps. The international conference commenced with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan. Professor Lutfiya Abdulkholiqzoda, Director of the National Library, delivered the opening remarks, officially inaugurating the conference and introducing the domestic and foreign guests.

The event was attended and addressed by Dilrabo Saidullo Mansuri, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan. Speeches were also delivered by Farrukh Mahmud Hamralizoda, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan; Homid Hasan Khoshimzoda, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan; Muhammadovud Salomiyon, Deputy President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan; and Davlat Safarzoda, First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan.

It is worth noting that the conference was attended by Catherine Smithton, Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; Radoslaw Darski, Ambassador of the European Union; Valikhan AmirkuliTurekhanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Jeong Song-Shik, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea; Mohammad Rashid Al-Amiri, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait; Gochmuratov AytmuratBayramyradovich, Ambassador of Turkmenistan; Shoismatov ErgashRakhmatulloyevich, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Rajesh Uike, Ambassador of the Republic of India; Alireza Haghighian, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran; Nikolai Georgievich Kolodkin, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus; Tural Dunyanur Hasanov, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Khalit Islam Tori, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye; Mohammad Khanfar, Deputy Head of the Embassy of the State of Palestine; Abubakr Al-Adhirayl, staff member of the Embassy of the State of Palestine; Wang Guochun, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China; and Abdulaziz Ali Al-Rumayhi, Acting Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Tajikistan. The event was also attended by Parvati Ramaswamy, UN Resident Coordinator; Tatyana Sunkar, Head of the OSCE Office; and the Head of the Swiss Cooperation Office in the Republic of Tajikistan. During the event, presentations were delivered by Tajiks residing abroad, including IzatulloMurtazoyevich Nurulloyev from the United Arab Emirates; DagikhudoDagiev from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; Komron Hakimjonovich Rahimov from the Russian Federation; and Mansursho Bahromshoyevich Rahmatulloyev from the People’s Republic of China, who participated via an online teleconference. Rukhshona Odinaeva, a fourth-year student at the University of Stratford in London, also delivered a presentation in person.

   During the event, it was emphasized that state independence has created broad opportunities for the sustainable development of the Republic of Tajikistan, strengthening the country’s position in the international arena, and creating favorable conditions for the advancement of various sectors of public life.

   It should be noted that Yokubzoda Mukhiddin, Bobokhonzoda Ravshan, and Hazratzoda Firdavs of the Department of State Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as Ismoilov Habibulloof the Department of Strategic of Research the same Ministry, made a valuable contribution to the organization and successful conduct of the conference.

   The international conference was held with the aim of discussing the invaluable contribution of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to strengthening state independence, safeguarding national values, developing Tajik statehood, and presenting the country’s achievements during the period of independence. The conference concluded with the adoption of a Resolution.

   At the conclusion of the event, a group photograph was taken with the participation of domestic guests and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
