People’s Artist Hoshim Gado Donates 24 Newly Published Books to the National Library
On May 8, the renowned artist and legendary figure of Tajik theatre and cinema, Hoshim Gado, visited the State Institution “National Library” of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, where he donated 24 of his newly published books to the library’s collection.
Among the donated publications, two books were published in 2022, nineteen in 2023, and one in 2024. With these additions, the total number of books authored by the distinguished artist has reached 759 volumes.
Each publication consists of three volumes and has been published under titles including The Sky, The System, Zigzag, I Was Beside Him, Sad Eyes, Rustle, Brother, Rustle, Hurricane Man, On Enthusiasm, Passion, Radiating Light and Warmth, Oedipus – World Champion, Letters to Nowhere, Unclaimed, Height, Reflection, Thirst for Life, The Swamp, Woe to the Mind, Thirst for Knowledge, Iron Will, To Be Human Is So Difficult!, My Monument to Future Generations, Infinity, The Eternal Wanderer, Something Went Wrong, After All, Who Was He?, Hidden Tales, Personality, Faith in Yourself, The Wall, Man Himself, Guidebook, The East Is a Delicate Matter, View, Flight of the Boomerang, Marsh Heights, and Peace to Your Home!
It is worth noting that in May 2023, on the occasion of the birthday of People’s Artist of the USSR, recipient of the Order of the Star of the President of Tajikistan, and Honoured Artist of Tajikistan Hoshim Gado, a Hoshim Gado Corner was established at the National Library. The exhibition features 620 volumes of his works, along with photographs highlighting his remarkable artistic career.
The corner was officially inaugurated on May 6 during the presentation of the bibliographic guide “Hoshim Gado: Collection of Articles and an Annotated Bibliography”, held at the State Institution “National Library” of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. The event was organized by the Scientific, Methodological and Research Department.
Readers and visitors are invited to explore the newly donated books by the distinguished Tajik actor and writer Hoshim Gado at the National Library.
